Final Fantasy XVI ep 16 Hall of the Ancestors, Magitek Defenses, Iron Giant Boss, Clive Tames Ifrit

We enter the Phoenix Gate and find a great dungeon underneath. These are pristine ruins of the Fallen civilization. There are magitek constructs awakening and trying to repel us, trespassers that we are. They increase in strength and complexity, culminating in an Iron Giant boss fight. We make it to the mural at the center and Clive has a vision. He realizes that he is Ifrit and he killed his brother and the masked man is just him disassociating his guilt. We have a couple of really awesome fights against Ifrit and Dark Clive. This whole sequence is a really great abstraction of Clive incorporating his shadow. In a very Jungian sense, Clive accepts the bestial part of his personality. What a banger of an episode. I absolutely love story telling like this.
