Judicial Review of Local Land Use Issue

While HB24-1107 is intended to take away impediments to local government, my role as a Representative is "to secure these Rights (among which are Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness)" not to find ways to legislate past them.

“If Men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and the next place, oblige it to control itself.”--James Madison
I will continue to speak & vote against HB24-107. Property Rights are far more important than any schemes of government. That is not to say or even imply that all government actions are intended to harm the citizens. Voluntarily living in and benefiting from a cooperative society also means cooperating with those around us in a mutual recognition and support of the Rights of our neighbors. We should approach any abridgment of those Rights with extreme caution, not efficiency.

We need your help in righting the Ship of State.
Last election saw a 56:44 difference in overall vote become a 75:25 disparity in representation in the House of Representatives, turning it into a mill of ideological legislation intent on moving the needle continually away from individual Liberty towards State power. We need all hands on deck.

Thank you for your vigilance. We did not maintain it, which is why we are where we are.
Vigilance is the price of Liberty;
Slavery is the price of apathy.
