Pursuit Rescue

On October 25, 2024, at approximately 9:44 PM, San Diego Police were in pursuit of a possible felony warrant suspect. The suspect was driving erratically and ultimately lost control of the vehicle, colliding with a power pole and a fire hydrant.

For the safety of everyone involved, SDPD advised the man to remain inside the vehicle until it was safe to exit. It took around two hours to shut off both the water and electricity in the area. After attempting several methods, an SDGE worker was escorted into a potential crossfire zone by SDPD to disconnect the power.

Once the scene was secure, San Diego Fire Department (SDFD) rescued the man from the damaged vehicle. He was then transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. SDPD is currently investigating the incident.
