Aldous Huxley's essay, "The Olive Tree", is an example of spiritually scientific thinking. While also being a homage to his favourite tree, Huxley shows the reader correspondences between the loss of nature, natural heritage, peace and freedom of expression. Do you think this is reaching? Could you see, from this episode, that an olive tree revival could bring peace and safety to those of "Saxon and Celtic flesh wedded to the Latin spirit" aka the English?
