Long story short, quinine wasn't something you could make at industrial scale and that's what was needed, for military reasons. They invented some terrible medicine that had high mortality, then chloroquine which still had too many or too frequently-occuring side affects, and HQL was the answer.

I may do a playlist of IVM alternatives either after the election or the transition but you can find them fairly easy just look aroundn my channel. Green tea/EGCG, Wormwood-Clove-Black Walnut (did I remember that right?), Quercetin which is probably a lot more mild both on your body and against the toxins it cleans out.
