Today, on Day 259 of sobriety, I woke up to some crazy news in Sri Lanka about conflicts involving Israel and local terrorism. Scrolling through social media made it worse—more drama and a lot of things that just leave me feeling like the world has gone mad. But I find my way to stay grounded through surfing. When I'm out there on the waves, it’s just me, the ocean, and my board—nothing else matters. Surfing helps me stay centered and clear-headed in the midst of all the insanity.

Then, I listened to BABYMETAL’s "Monochrome" LIVE performance, and wow, this is probably my favorite song from them so far! It’s a little softer compared to their usual high-energy sound, and I loved it. Amazing live performance, and it definitely took me to a good place after all that crazy news!
