Russian President Vladimir Putin gives a press conference on the results of the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan on Thursday, October 24. Earlier he spoke of 'serious results' achieved by BRICS countries in the past year of the Russian chairmanship, across 'politics and security, economics and finance, [and] cultural and humanitarian contacts'. During the landmark event, the Russian leader held a series of bilateral meetings with the leaders of BRICS member states, while the Summit itself had sessions in the narrow and extended format. The 16th BRICS Summit was held in the capital of Tatarstan on October 22-24.
