Polymarket confirms one of the large "whales" on the platform is an experienced French trader.

The French national reportedly has "extensive trading experience and a financial services background."

The trader controls four large accounts on the platform.

The trader has spent a whopping $28.6 million across the four accounts and has bet $7 million on Trump to also win the popular vote, as noted by CNBC.

The revelation came after Polymarket launched an investigation into the massive bets.

"To date [Polymarket] has not identified any information to suggest that this user manipulated, or attempted to manipulate, the market."
