“The Democratic Party today is the party of war. It is the party of surveillance, of censorship.”

Kennedy pointed out that Dick Cheney and the people who wrote up the Patriot Act are now oddly aligned with the Democratic Party.

"You think Dick Cheney has changed his opinion about the Patriot Act?" he asked. "No," Kennedy answered.

"He's changed parties because he thinks the Democratic Party is now the party of the neocons. It's the party of surveillance, of censorship, of war."
