The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the seventeenth main installment in The Legend of Zelda series and serves as an indirect sequel to the 1991 game, A Link to the Past.

In this game, players control Link, who embarks on a quest to rescue the Seven Sages and defeat the evil sorcerer Yuga. Yuga captures Princess Zelda and escapes into the parallel world of Lorule, aiming to use the power of the Seven Sages to resurrect the demon king Ganon. One of the unique features of the game is Link’s ability to merge into walls as a 2D painting, allowing him to reach new areas and travel between the worlds of Hyrule and Lorule.

The game is presented in stereoscopic 3D with a top-down perspective, and it introduces new gameplay elements such as item renting and the ability to complete dungeons in any order. It received critical acclaim for its engaging gameplay, nostalgic feel, and innovative features.
