Kamala Harris Caught Copying: Plagiarism Scandal Rocks Her First Book!

Kamala Harris is facing accusations of plagiarism in her first book, with multiple sections allegedly copied from low-quality sources without proper attribution. This claim comes from a plagiarism expert who analyzed her 2009 book, *Smart On Crime: A Career Prosecutor's Plan To Make Us Safer*, which played a key role in shaping her political career and establishing her credibility on criminal justice reform.

Austrian "plagiarism hunter" Stefan Weber identified over a dozen instances of copied material, noting that Harris borrowed extensively from unreliable sources, including Wikipedia. All of the identified passages came from works published before Harris's book, clearly pointing to her as the source of the plagiarism.

One example involved a section copied from a 2008 Associated Press article on low graduation rates, while another featured near-verbatim excerpts from a John Jay College of Criminal Justice press release without attribution. Additionally, wording was lifted from a Bureau of Justice Assistance report on West Palm Beach crime statistics.

Author and activist Christopher Rufo shared these findings on Substack and X, showcasing side-by-side comparisons of Harris’s text with the original sources, revealing blatant instances of plagiarism.

Rufo criticized Harris’s lack of integrity, writing, “The title of her book is *Smart on Crime*, but plagiarism is anything but smart—it’s academic theft.” He called for Harris and her publisher to retract the plagiarized passages and issue corrections.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, acknowledged the plagiarism claims, mocking Harris on X: “Lmao Kamala didn’t even write her own book!” Donald Trump Jr. also chimed in, calling Harris a “fraud.”

Despite mounting criticism, Harris’s publisher has declined to comment. Rufo shared leaked emails indicating that representatives at Chronicle Books were instructed not to respond to media inquiries, describing the situation as "very sensitive" and involving upper management in damage control efforts.

Rufo concluded, “They know Kamala lied, and they know we know she lied. In America, plagiarism has become a pillar of the regime—and they will attack anyone who points it out.”
