Ashlee Simpson's SNL Fail

During the credits of SNL Ashlee Simpson, who does look and sound like someone with a cold, blamed her band for playing the wrong song and did not address the fact that a vocal track had played. A 60 minutes film crew was on set at the time and released a behind the scenes look at what happened and included an interview with Lorne Michaels who said that he had no idea that a vocal track was going to be used.

Over the years Simpson has explained further that the group had never practiced using a vocal track and that she had felt under enormous pressure to perform against her better judgment.
