#443 The FAIRtax and Low Income Taxpayers

It’s an objection we hear over and over again—"Sales taxes are regressive. The FAIRtax will be a huge tax break for the rich and it will hurt the poor.” That may be true for typical sales taxes, but the FAIRtax is NOT like other sales taxes.

This week the FAIRtax Guys dig into the research library at fairtax.org and discuss an article written by economist Dr. Karen Walby. Dr. Walby shows conclusively that while the FAIRtax does indeed benefit those with higher incomes, it’s those at the lower end of the economic scale that benefit the most.
