This is the annual Megabucks tournament in Alpena Michigan.

We grinded our butts off to find a good handful of spawners in super shallow water. Normally we have a few deeper beds but the water clarity was the worst I'd ever seen it this year! We are normally used to about 10ft vis, but were limited to 2.5 ft this year. Luckily I liked to fish in the dirt as it is so I was right at home.

It was an extremely tough tournament for sure, but all of our practice prepared us for this moment.
