Deep in the maze where shadows play
I wrestle memories night and day
The echo's loud inside my head
I'm scared to speak I'm filled with dread

I see the ghosts of battles past
They whisper secrets in the dark
Afraid to share afraid to bare
The world that's locked behind my stare

I want to tell you all these fears
The tangled web of sleepless years
But will you run will you escape
When you hear the words that I can’t say

My heart's a storm of silent cries
I hide it all behind these eyes
The fear it builds it binds it ties
I long for light in a new sunrise

Will you hold on and chase away
The demons in my mind that play
Or will the truth just drive you far
And leave me here with my own scars
