Alexandria Prosecutor May Have Fled a Trial in Real Life, But Life Isn’t Like the Movies

As one prosecutor in Richmond lawyers up to defend against a petition brought in mandamus to compel her to convene a grand jury investigation into the infections that had resulted in Black residents representing over 60% of the fatalities, one Arlington prosecutor, who had run unopposed, is also lawyering up, after avoiding first an affidavit, sworn and attested by a competent witness, then a matter brought to court and dismissed, and that is now on review by the Court of Appeals, even if the Soros-financed prosecutor is not making any press statements, electing a right to remain silent for now, with just two weeks left before the end of the early elections. Unfortunately, the last minute flourish of activity may be for naught, since Parisa Deghnani-Tafti appears to have blown off the deadline for filing her brief in the matter raised on appeal.

The Alexandria prosecutor, Bryan Porter, appears at least in the Alexandria Court to have avoided a grand jury last year, but that matter, too, is now on appeal at the State Supreme Court, with a collateral attack raised in the federal district court in that Democrat stronghold city, also escaping any mention in the press, with journalists electing a right to remain silent also about an action arising from a similar petition to convene a grand jury investigation against the incumbent legislator in Washington, luxury car sales mogul Don Beyer, currently up for reelection against a Republican who may have been offered hush money, because he’s not even asking his opponent about his recent criminal history. And, Republicans who lose in VA8 tend to be awarded very generous consolation prizes. So, why make waves in a congressional district where bookies wouldn’t lay odds on a Republican picking up a seat?
