October 21, 2024 – Gold made another nominal all-time high at the close of last week. Silver outperformed gold’s weekly gain, with a remarkable move of nearly $2/oz on Friday alone.

Silver’s price is now the highest it has been since early 2012. Investors have been waiting patiently for the metal to breakout and start catching up to gold. The gold/silver ratio has held persistently above 80 for much of the past several years.

The big move higher on Friday, busting through some key overhead resistance, has silver bugs feeling optimistic. Both gold and silver prices have continued to rise further today.
