Even at age 77, Jacob was a shell of a man. He was a cheat, a momma's boy and now after stealing a blessing meant for his brother Esau, Jacob is on the run. On that run, he meets God for the first time. And instead of bowing to His Lordship he attempts to make a deal. No problem. With all his faults, God is going to mold and shape Jacob into His Likeness over the next twenty years and more to be a real man of God.
