Did you know that men die an average of 6 years earlier than women? Some people blame the gender life expectancy gap on men being involved with more hazardous work, having fewer doctor visits, smoking more, or consuming more alcohol.
Men often experience more heart attacks and strokes than their female counterparts. Autoimmune diseases are more common in women, but they don’t typically die from these conditions.
A specific longevity gene called FOXO3 plays a major role in your life expectancy. Women express this gene more than men because the gene is activated by estrogen. Fortunately, estrogen is not the only thing that activates your longevity genes!
FOXO3 helps prevent cancer and helps with gene repair. It’s a stress-resistant gene that allows you to adapt to your environment. Nature prioritizes reproduction and fertility, so women often express longevity genes more than men.

On day 1 of fasting, glycogen is eliminated from the body. Your insulin drops on your first day of fasting, allowing you to tap into your fat reserve.

Over 90% of chronic disease stems from one lie taught to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, and personal trainers worldwide. Glucose is the body’s preferred energy source! If glucose is so good for you, why does your body do everything it can to eliminate it from your blood?
The average thin person has about 100,000 calories of stored fat and only 1,700 calories of glucose. When you consume sugar, it’s removed from the blood very quickly, and the excess sugar is converted into fat. The body requires a small amount of glucose, but your body can make this small amount.
The single root cause of chronic disease is high glucose! Blood sugar spikes create inflammation on the inside of the arteries, leading to chronically high insulin levels to remove the sugar. The body compensates with insulin resistance to slow down the glucose that enters the cells.
Early symptoms of insulin resistance include:

I Fasted for 72 Hours — Here's What REALLY Happened to My Body where I give you my personal experience with a 3 day water fast and show you the benefits that come from a 72 hour fast.
A 3 day water fast is very beneficial to your entire wellbeing. Though longer fasts are also great, but for those of us that have very busy schedules doing a 5-12 day water fast just isn't obtainable. 3 Day water fasts benefits are much better than you will receive from intermittent fasting or even OMAD. I prefer doing the 3 day water fast at a minimum of every other month.
3 day water fast ketosis is a awesome bio-hack. If you are in the state of ketosis prior to the fast you will find that you don't crash as you would switching from sugar burning to fat burning during the fast itself.
3 day water fast weight loss is one of the amazing benefits that you will get from fasting. When you are fasting you spare muscle and your body burns that fat around the waist and the visceral fat that is associated with so many diseases. Weight loss and fasting are a great pair and is considered to be a healthy way to accomplish fat loss. This water cleanse over the 3 days will give your body time to detox, heal, and rejuvenate as fasting is a health strategy that is almost required for good health.
I get asked often how they can navigate a 3 day water fast with exercise and it is important to realize that the 3 day fast is a time for your body to heal and recover. Pushing the exercise hard while fasting is never recommended. When fasting we like to stick to like exercises that keep the body moving but nothing strenuous like long distance cardio or heavy weight training.

Rinse your hair and shampoo twice to remove onion odor. Do this twice per week for 4 to 6 weeks. You should notice hair growth after week 3 or 4!
To increase the benefits of onion juice for hair, add 5 drops of rosemary oil. In a 2015 randomized trial, rosemary oil was found to be as effective as one of the top medications for alopecia.

With so much focus on high blood pressure, it’s essential not to overlook low blood pressure, which is often due to low blood volume.
When you wake up in the morning, your blood volume is lowest. Low blood volume can cause dizziness when standing, poor exercise performance, and a decreased sense of well-being.

Taking the following drugs for an extended period of time may potentially increase your risk for dementia.
1. Drugs that block acetylcholine
This includes Benadryl, certain drugs for depression, and drugs that treat overactive bladder.
2. Benzodiazepine
Drugs such as Valium and Xanax treat anxiety, insomnia, and seizures, affecting the central nervous system and brain.
3. PPIs
Proton pump inhibitors, such as Prilosec and Nexium, that treat indigestion and heartburn may increase the risk of cognitive decline.
4. Opioids
Morphine, oxycodone, and other opioids that sedate the brain significantly affect cognitive function and may lead to dementia.
Hal Cranmer owns several assisted living homes and sees first-hand the consequences of giving someone several drugs at once. Many residents in assisted living homes are on 20 to 30 medications.

Adverse drug reactions are unexpected side effects directly caused by drugs. Around 90% are underreported. Adverse drug reactions are responsible for 10% of all hospital visits and are the 4th leading cause of death.

The biggest contributor to chronic disease is diet. Medications are often prescribed to treat the symptoms caused by consuming ultra-processed foods. A healthy diet can turn this cycle around.

Many people only take between 600 to 2000 IUs of vitamin D each day. Did you know that 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3 is only .25 mg?
Vitamin D is the most important vitamin. It controls 10% of your genetics. Over 90% of the population has less than 40 ng per mL of vitamin D3 in their blood. The guidelines of 600 IUs of vitamin D3 are based on preventing rickets, supporting bone health, and managing calcium in the blood, not for the countless other functions of vitamin D.
Low vitamin D levels are caused by people staying indoors, location, skin color, and other lifestyle and genetic factors.
Low vitamin D symptoms include:
•Low back pain
•High blood pressure
•Depression
•Anxiety
•Inflammation
•Poor immune function
Sunblock blocks the absorption of vitamin D. In 1980, society became sun phobic in an attempt to prevent skin cancer, which has continued to increase despite less sun exposure.
You need 10,000 IUs of vitamin D daily, especially for immune function. This amount of vitamin D is the same amount you’d get from 20 minutes of sun exposure in the summertime.
When you get a blood test for vitamin D, they’re not checking for the active form and are not accounting for vitamin D resistance. The endothelial layer is the innermost layer of your arteries. It controls blood pressure, acts as a filter, prevents clots, and supports immune function.
The inside of your arteries is very susceptible to problems with insulin. Most people have insulin resistance, which is caused by chronic carbohydrate consumption and constant snacking.
Nitric oxide relaxes the blood vessels and is vital for the health of the endothelial layer of the arteries. Vitamin D triggers nitric oxide, which is why many people who are low in vitamin D also have high blood pressure. Arginine, testosterone, and magnesium also trigger nitric oxide.
Vitamin D and magnesium can help prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, and vitamin K2 also helps to prevent calcium buildup.
Foods like whole grains and seed oils are deemed “heart healthy,” but they spike insulin. We’re also told to avoid saturated fats because of the cholesterol content. There’s a lot of false information regarding a diet that’s truly healthy for your heart.
The best meal to clean your arteries would involve foods that don’t spike insulin. A low-carb ketogenic diet is best for your heart.
The primary part of the best meal to clean out your arteries should be grass-fed red meat. If you’re having a burger, melt raw cheese on top because it’s high in vitamin K2. Red meat is loaded with zinc, which can directly improve your testosterone.
Include a salad with your meal. Arugula is a great addition to any salad, as it can increase nitric oxide and is rich in vitamins C and E. Pumpkin seeds are also beneficial due to their high magnesium, zinc, and selenium content.
Vitamin D3 is vital for a healthy heart. Sunlight is the best source, but you may need to take a supplement in the winter. Take at least 10,000 IU daily as a maintenance dose.
