Andrew Pollack on the Media and Mass Shootings

Our guest is Andrew Pollack. Professionally he is known as a businessman and entrepreneur who made his career in the scrap metal, real estate and property management businesses. But that’s not why we’re talking to him here.

He’s better known as the father of Meadow Pollack. She was on of 17 people who were murdered in a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. They were all killed on Valentine’s Day 2018.

Since that day, Andrew has made it his life’s work to figure out why things like this happen…how they can be prevented…and how society likes to find simple solutions to complex problems. He’s the founder of a nonprofit organization called Americans for Children’s Lives and School Safety.
