Wednesday Evening Bible Study Jeremiah 29 10-23-24

Jeremiah chapter 29 begins with a letter that Jeremiah sent to the captives in Babylon to encourage them to live and grow in number. He tells them that after seventy years they will be allowed to come back to their homeland. They are to be good citizens and pray for the peace of the city where they are captives, for if the city has peace, they also will have peace.
The last portion of the chapter deals with judgment that will come upon at the false prophets who have lied to the people and told them things that God had not said.
