2024/10/21 Episode#1 of Texas Rye Whiskey Studies starts off with what is now a ghost whiskey from Acre Distillery in Fort Worth. One of my all-time Favorites! But fear not, Acre has come out with a 100 proof version that I hope to taste soon! Basil Hayden Dark Rye, come to find out, isn't a Legal Rye...it is blended with Canadian Rye whiskey and Port wine. It is delicious for sure, but quite different from the Acre.
