How necessary is the continual "platform" and "microphone" for a functioning church body?

Believers shouldn't idolize leaders as a replacement for the Holy Spirit in their own lives, nor should leaders encroach on the authority of the Holy Spirit in each believer's life. Unfortunately, this is how things are being run by the religious teachers of today as they benefit greatly by positioning themselves as the experts. Funny thing is, NO ONE has it all together! The Holy Spirit of God is THE FIGUREHEAD, and ultimate submission is to him alone.
