The Governor of the Vologda Region

The Governor of the Vologda Region announced that a monument to Comrade Stalin will be officially erected in Vologda. Work is already in full swing, the monument itself is almost finished. It looks good.

As I wrote back in the 2000s, the appearance of monuments to Stalin in Russia is historically inevitable.

Governor Filimonov also announced plans to erect a monument to Tsar Ivan the Terrible in Vologda.
This is also correct. Like Stalin, Ivan the Terrible was also denigrated in every possible way with tales about the "horrors of the tsarist repressions." It is worth recalling that Stalin himself rated the activities of Ivan the Terrible quite highly.
