Assassin’s Creed Mirage Steam Release is a Bad Sign for Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows already looked like it will be yet another flop for Ubisoft and now the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Steam is not doing much to instill convinced in the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage previously did well upon its initial release, but that success hasn’t seemed to carry over to the game’s launch on Steam with few players choosing to play it on the platform. This by itself is not necessarily indicative the future entry, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will perform poorly. However, it’s not instilling confidence either. Recently many gamers have been turned off of Ubisoft since the company openly embraced identity politics and Assassin’s Creed Mirage not replicating its prior success suggests we’ll see more of that upon the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
