Enemies of God- Part 4 -John 14:11-14
Miracles of God- Part 2
We have established that enemies of God don’t believe in God, so it stands to reason that they certainly don’t love Him! Some non-believers will even say, "If God will show me a miracle, I’ll believe that He’s real!" But God will not be mocked, and God will only be tested with His permission.
Galatians 6:7 NIV - 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
As a True Follower of Jesus, an enemy of God is an enemy of ours! The Bible tells us in:
Ephesians 6:12 NIV - 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms!
There’s a subtle misunderstanding that’s common with this verse:
Notice the word "struggle." Some versions use the word "wrestle." "Wrestle" implies "hand-to-hand combat." "Struggle" implies a "continual grind." This passage is not telling us that we don’t have human enemies of God to battle; we have both worldly and supernatural enemies of God.
It’s telling us that the strategy of the fight is different. The worldly enemies of God usually attack us by trying to get us to commit moral failure. "Hey man, drink this drink, smoke this drug, watch this porn, steal this valuable, chase this feeling, or get angry and cuss!"
For True Followers of Jesus, the strategy to win these kinds of battles is to love and pray, then make the conscious decision to do the right thing. If we are too weak in the moment, then we have to lean harder on the Holy Spirit. Maybe it’s being silent and still, knowing God is God.
But the strategy for fighting the supernatural enemies of God is different because it’s a continual spiritual grind. We won’t win these battles with human ingenuity, worldly wisdom, or clever methods. The devil uses supernatural deception, temptation, and trickery!
He wants us to directly dishonor God by working in our own natural power to fight against the enemies of God, which includes our own bad attitude sometimes! But, the most extreme forces of darkness we fight are occultism, extreme sexual perversion, and idol worship.
The instructions are always the same, and they come from Jesus: love, pray, thank, go, make, teach, ask, seek, knock! Then these instructions mix and match in varying degrees and levels to implement the strategy of the battle.
One last thing before we pick back up from last week: having an intellectual knowledge of the instructions is important, but if we’re not going to implement them into our lives, then we’re not standing up for what’s right and fighting the good fight against the enemies of God!
I have a lot of people who are struggling with problems that come to me all the time and say, "I’ve been praying and reading the Bible, but things aren’t getting better!" The solution isn’t just reading and studying the Bible; the solution is living the principles in the Bible!
It’s also the reason our world is in the shape that it’s in! So, that tells us we need to be living the Bible as much, if not more, than we study the Bible! Now, back to where we left off last week!
In this world, everybody has been tried and tested by God, and also tempted and tormented by Satan. People will fail us, hurt us, and abandon us, but God will never fail, leave, or forsake us! So …
As True Followers of Jesus, we have to believe that with all our heart because we’re called to be leaders. When leaders don’t panic, the people don’t panic, which helps followers stay on track and keep the faith! God is looking for Followers of Jesus to take the lead. We see an example in:
Matthew 9:18-26 NIV - 18 While He was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before Him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put Your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did His disciples. 20 Just then, a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. 23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24 He said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at Him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, He went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of this spread through all that region.
2-Spontaneous Prayer [Miracle Stories of Healing]
Do you believe God can heal people?

Not just for the pain to go away, but that the hindrance of serving Jesus be removed!
Jesus didn’t say, “Your prayer healed you.” Jesus said, “Your faith has healed you.” Praying doesn’t ignite the power of God; prayer is communicating with an all-powerful God. Faith ignites the power of God, and fully trusting Jesus lights the fuse!
The question is … why do we limit God? We tend to put God in a box! Our minds are finite, but God is infinite! He has the hairs on the heads of everybody who has ever existed numbered! So, why do we pray, and if the results we want don’t happen immediately, we assume God’s not interested? Remember, a lot of times God is looking for our patient endurance.
Galatians 6:9 NIV - 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!
3-Continual Prayer for Years [Miracle Stories of Salvation]

Working diligently and patiently for Jesus means being persistent in following His instructions until we receive God’s answer or His deliverance! It requires being intentional about working to increase our belief, faith, and trust!
What’s the takeaway from today’s message? My prayer is that it’s motivation from hearing current day, real-life stories that testify to the biblical principle of seeking God first in everything! Jesus gave us the instructions, the strategy is always the same, and it always works!
Love God and others unconditionally. Pray spontaneously and continually. Thank God for everything, good or bad! Go into the world as God guides. Make disciples, not with force, but with careful discipline, by teaching them to be obedient to God’s commands!
Then, ask for opportunities, words, wisdom, and ways. Seek God first in all things, and knock on the doors of opportunity that He puts in front of us! If it opens, step in. If it doesn’t, keep knocking until God says, “Move on!” It works because the Bible says in:
Philippians 4:13 NIV - 13 I can do all this through Him who gives me strength!
So, if we truly want a current day, real-life miracle for our nation, then we have to follow God’s instructions with the goal of bringing glory to His name! We talked about it a few weeks ago, and God’s command isn’t going to change:
2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV - 14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land!
