Homecoming Origins...

Weekend Rumble 10/19/24...

Today is Homecoming in DeKalb and several schools claim to host the first Homecoming event. However, NIU traces their original "Homecoming" event back to 1903 and no other school has an origin to their 1st Homecoming back that far. In addition, there is a lot of speculation about conference realignment and there was news that NIU and Toledo are being targeted by the Mountain West. This of course happens Homecoming week when NIU is hosting Toledo. I'm sure it was just a coincidence just like Donald Trump being at the Chicago Economic Club this week...
