Depression Tip #25: My Top Tips!💙

What would be my top tips for depression? I see depression as a physical illness and a mental illness and an emotional illness. So I thought I'd come up with a tip for each category.💙

There are lots of things you can do in each category, but these would be my primary recommendations. It doesn't mean everything else isn't important. It means these are what I consider to be most important.💙

So for the physical side of depression, I would recommend trying to maximize the quality of your sleep and giving your body as much sleep as it needs. Sleep is massively restorative, very, very important.💙

For the mental aspect of depression, I would recommend mindful awareness. Try to have a stream in your mind that pays attention to what's happening. What are you thinking and why? What are you feeling and why? What's going on for other people and why?

And for the emotional side of depression, I chose self-compassion. If you can access self-compassion and show self -compassion to yourself, then it allows access to all the other range of emotions and feelings.💙
