In this chapter we will get to know Guts and receive some background information about the brand of sacrifice. Just enough to keep it exciting!
I felt like it was the perfect continuation of chapter 01 as it gets you closer to the main character, while at the same time making sure - once and for all - that within this grim world of Berserk, no character is safe!

This is Vol. 01 Chapter 02 within the first arc - The Black Swordsman.
Unfortunately we haven't seen this part of the story within the 1997 anime adaptation of Berserk, but it has been featured within the series from 2016. Again. Unfortunately. That being said, it's still a part of the story where everything is rather simple, even though we already have some questions. What happened to our main protagonist? Where's the brand from? Why does he have it? Are there important people in his life, or is he merely a lone wolf?
