"When we want to meet these risks, these major threats to mankind, there is but one vaccine that we can use for basically addressing all of them. And the vaccine does have to go into policy making. It has to go into politics. The only vaccine that will help here is science. Our best vaccine in addressing all these issues is making science the basis of all our policymaking. So therefore, putting science into politics and policymaking is as important as putting a vaccine into a child, which otherwise it's not likely to live for a long time. Science is at the heart of effective policymaking. It does not substitute for the wisdom in policymaking and for the ethics in policymaking, but with the best wisdom.
and the best ethics, you will not be successful if the work is not rooted in scientific evidence."
