LIVER SURGERY FOR CANCER, (graphic content)

A cancer success story. This Video taken from a camera probe inserted in the abdomen. Other instruments fold the liver, looking for, and finding the tumor. Let's estimate that it was a "stage two" cancer. The tumor was surgically removed with a (safety) border of liver tissue, about 10% of the liver overall was cut out.

The green dye was in the blood stream to better identify the healthy liver tissue. The red tube at the bottom is a catheter to drain any unwanted accumulation of fluid. The accumulation was never more than about 10 - 20 cc, and was removed in about 24 hours.

The operation took about 4 hours and awoke from anesthetic in 8 hours. There was never any pain or even weakness, (a little tiredness). I left the hospital in 30 hours.
