"Garbage," "Noise," "You're A Nobody": Did We Witness How Butte Officials Feel About Constituents?

Butte County has had its share of county officials choosing themselves, their egos, and their agendas over the people they took an oath to serve. It's been a wild ride for the last 2 1/2 years. While we wait for our new commission to be sworn in (it will consist of 2 new commissioners, 1 good one voted in in 2022, and two who've been there since the mess started), we still do what we can to keep an eye on what they're doing because of obvious reasons. This time it's about James Ager, the chairman, seemingly attempting to try to control, yet again, who gets on the Planning Board by choosing a person before the term is up for the person currently on the board who will be leaving in January. This has never happened before, so a red flag was up about the whole thing. Tom Brunner (Former house rep and newly elected commissioner when January rolls around) made a great public comment, and the discussion about this topic was pretty revealing in many ways.
