Governor Whitmer and the MEDC announced a $4.750 million investment in
Northern Hardwoods in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The grant will help protect
85 jobs in Houghton County. Northern Hardwoods plans to install a new biomass boiler and a back-pressure steam turbine at their Atlantic Mine. The upgrades will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and be more energy efficient. For MichiganNews Source I’m David Barr.
