SOUTH AFRICA-Tech whizzes unravel SASSA fraud: Stellenbosch students discover shocking ID misuse
First-year computer science students, Joel Cedras and Veer Gosai, from Stellenbosch University have uncovered a major fraud scheme involving SASSA’s Social Relief of Distress Grant. During their investigation into vulnerabilities in government systems, they found numerous unexplained applications and payments. Shockingly, even their own ID numbers were misused.
Brilliant !! Well done for exposing a weak and fraudulent system.
