"You really think you can stop 'em?" "I know I can." Voltage Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for an action thriller survival film called Aftermath, also known as simply The Bridge for release in a few other countries (since it's set mostly on a bridge, obviously). From director Patrick Lussier, this is set for release in November including arriving on digital VOD right away. Trapped on Boston's Tobin Bridge after a bomb explodes, a former Army Ranger must use his elite training to save his sister and all the other hostages from a group of vengeful ex-military contractors that are led by an unhinged war criminal. Aftermath stars Dylan Sprouse, Mason Gooding, Dichen Lachman, Mark Irvingsen, Shahjehan Khan, Will Lyman, & Megan Stott. It reminds me of the other trapped-on-a-bridge action thriller from this week called Armor starring Stallone. Though I gotta say - this film looks way better. A real big bridge with tons of people, lots of trickery, bad guys with masks, and a sneaky military lead character? Yeahhh this is where it's at – fire it up.

Here's the first official trailer for Patrick Lussier's thriller Aftermath, direct from YouTube:

On what should have been a peaceful afternoon drive, former Army Ranger Eric Daniels (Sprouse) finds himself trapped with hundreds of other commuters and a high-profile prisoner (Lachman) after a group of heavily armed ex-military contractors shut down Boston's Tobin Bridge. As their leader (Gooding) starts killing hostages, Sprouse must rely on his military training, killer instincts, and some unexpected help to get his little sister – and everyone else – home safely. Aftermath, also known as The Bridge, is directed by Canadian-American editor / filmmaker Patrick Lussier, director of the films Dracula 2000, White Noise 2: The Light, My Bloody Valentine, Drive Angry, Trick, and Play Dead, plus an ep of "The Purge" series. The screenplay is by Nathan Graham Davis. It's produced by Lucas Jarach, Brian Pitt, Timothy C. Sullivan. Voltage Pictures debuts Aftermath in select US theaters + on VOD starting November 1st, 2024 this fall.

What if ex-military terrorists take over a bridge while you're caught in a traffic jam with no way out? Well, if you're Dylan Sprouse, you take matters into your own hands. Check out the official trailer for "Aftermath."

In this new action thriller, former Disney Channel star Dylan Sprouse ("Beautiful Disaster," "Beautiful Wedding") channels his inner John McClane as he plays Eric Daniels, a former Army Ranger thrust into a life-or-death situation when rogue ex-military contractors bomb Boston's Tobin Bridge, essentially holding all vehicle drivers and passengers hostage. When Eric witnesses his little sister being kidnapped by members of the terrorist unit, he is forced to spring into action. He quickly finds himself enlisting the help of a notorious criminal who was being transported to another prison at the time of the bombing.

Mason Gooding, from the new "Scream" installments, co-stars as the leader of the military-trained terrorists, while Megan Stott ("Penelope," "Yes Day") plays Dylan Sprouse's younger sister. Dichen Lachman, known from "Severance" and "Jurassic World Dominion," takes on the role of the notorious war criminal looking to escape capture and the bridge before it blows up.

The action thriller is directed by Patrick Lussier, best known for directing the horror films "Drive Angry," "Dracula 2000," and 2009's "My Bloody Valentine."

"Aftermath" is set to be released on November 1st. Watch the trailer above.

The film follows two undercover agents – DEA agent Abbott (Sprouse) and an FBI agent Griff (Gooding) – posing as rival drug dealers at the Mexico border.

Initially unaware of each other’s identities in what should have been a routine drug deal, the agents are caught in a deadly ambush and must team up in order to survive.

The cast includes Odette Annable (Cloverfield), Emilio Rivera (Mayans M.C., Sons Of Anarchy), and Declan Laird (Beautiful Wedding, Beautiful Disaster).

Steven C. Miller, whose credits include Werewolves and Line Of Duty, directs from a screenplay by Adrian Speckert and Cory Todd Hughes, who wrote The Omega Project. Production took place in California and the project is in post. Lucas Jarach (Aftermath) is producing.

Miller noted the chemistry between the two leads was “electric and rivals some of the great buddy-action performances”.

Alexandra Cocean, EVP global sales and distribution at Voltage Pictures, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Steven on this exhilarating ‘ride or die’ action-comedy. It’s been a pleasure working with Dylan and Mason again, and we’re confident that audiences will love the film’s fast-paced action and sharp humour.”

Voltage handled sales on Patrick Lussier’s Aftermath which is scheduled to open in the US on November 1. The line-up includes YA romance Marked Men directed by Nick Cassavetes starring Chase Stokes, Sydney Taylor, and Alexander Ludwig and scheduled for early 2025.

Also coming up is the YA musical Verona’s Romeo & Juliet which opens theatrically on February 14, 2025. Voltage licensed international on the biopic Reagan starring Dennis Quaid and Penelope Ann Miller, which opened in August and has grossed $30m worldwide.
