When you're looking for a sheriff a few things come to mind, foremost being his willingness to protect and honour the people. Far too many elected officials, including sheriffs, are fast to serve special interests and 'good old boys' once in office.

The huge corporate contributions should scare you off any candidate for office because let's face it; they're not dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the goodness of their hearts.

Doug Traubel is supported with many small contributions from people like you and me. It's this 'grass roots' supports that leaves him beholding only to the taxpayers and citizens of Ada County.
