The Apprentice (2024)🚨SPOILER WARNING🚨Review LIVE w/ LindyRigg | 10.17.24

Tonight, we have our friend and fellow beer & movie enthusiast, LindyRigg!! The subject of the movie I’m reviewing this week is someone you may have heard of. He goes by the name of Donald Trump and a few people have something to say about him. This week’s movie, “The Apprentice”, is made by some people who have something to say about him. Now I didn’t add that they have anything based in objective fact to say about him, but they’re talking nonetheless. This movie is supposed to tell about the early days in the 70s and 80s of Trump’s rise in the New York real estate market. Trump is played by Sebastian Stan, who most will know best as the Winter Soldier in several MCU movies and shows. Trump is mentored by attorney Roy Cohn who is played by Jeremy Strong, from the show “Succession.” Given the cast and the filmmakers, if you put a minute’s thought into it, you’ll likely surmise this is nothing more than another Hollywood hit piece on the presidential candidate they hate. This is another “W” or “Vice”, hit piece movies about George W. Bush and Dick Cheney respectively. It’s well known history that Trump’s father gave him a million or so to start making his fortune in real estate and he turned that million or so into billions, not without some failures along the way. Will this movie laser focus in on just the failures, while treating the successes as an afterthought? Check out this review to find out!
