The medal “America Welcomes the World” was designed by DePaulis and issued by Monnaie De Paris. It features a bronze composition with a round shape, measuring 50 millimeter in diameter and weighing 60 grams. The medal comes in its original round coin box with a “COMMERCE” label affixed on the base.

The medal depicts four women standing around a short pedestal on the obverse. Two of the women appear to be native Americans and the other two are European bearing gifts. The pedestal has the image of two hands shaking and the scales of Justice. There is a tree in the back ground. There is also the name DEPAULIS F in raised lettering at about 9 o'clock. The reverse has the legend "Saint LOUIS 1904 AMERICA WELCOMES THE WORLD" in 6 lines. there is a cornucopia and the word BRONZE at about 8 o'clock.

The medal is considered rare and highly collectible, especially in its pristine condition with the original box.
