Bus Honks Repeatedly Despite the Road Being Wide Open

This bus kept honking in my proximity.

The lane to my right side is vacant. The bus driver could have easily overtaken from that side. But he chose to overtake from my left side to cross my lane in order to maneuver his positioning to make a right turn at the corner.
