20240914 211608 Tux's Moth Mouth

#Tux captured another bug -- apparently the only reason why he likes to spend time on the balcony in the evenings. This time it was a moth. Once I realized what was going on I grabbed the broom and tried to brush it across his face until he dropped it, but he was having NONE of that.

I tried for close to two minutes to get him to release that poor friend, and finally gave up. The whole time the moth was flapping its wings so fast that it made a loud buzzing noise -- pretty impressive, but all for naught. After I came back inside and closed the door (to prevent him from bringing it inside, which he ALWAYS tries to do), he finally dropped it -- at which point I grabbed the broom and swept it off the balcony, although by that time it was probably too late.

I definitely don't like the idea of him catching and (probably?) eating bugs, but apparently this is nature doing its thing, whether I agree with it or not.
