Objective: Acquire the "Strange Object" from The Underground Waterway Fishing Spot.

Steps:
Teleport to the waypoint south of The Chasm: Main Mining Area.
Easiest is by following the trail of [Liyue World Quest] A Company Vanishing Into The Deep https://youtu.be/VoaTfzCCo3k
At the other side of the camp, do not jump down, but follow the trail to the left until you reach a cave entrance.
Once you reach another cave chamber, you will find two Black Serpents in the middle of the swamp.
The fishing spot is on their other side. Defeating them is optional but you can run around them to avoid being detected.
Once you reached the fishing spot, catch at least one fish then exit. "Strange Object" will be acquired automatically.

Talk to Khedive after acquiring "Strange Object"
Place the strange object by the water
Use Hydro reactions to activate the strange object
Defeat the Hydro Geovishap that emerged
Tell Khedive about what happened by the water

NOTE: Khedive's Akademiya Recommendation Letter will be acquired if this is your last quest of the trilogy.
