28 YEARS | THE BATTLE OF A LIFETIME

Denise Caldon Sorkness lost her husband due to agent orange exposure decades after he served honorably in Vietnam. The VA certified his death and connected the non-Hodgkin's lymphoma to the exposure. When Denise went to receive the spousal benefits the VA had paid the wrong person due to fraudulent documents being submitted to remove Denise from the spousal benefits. Denise fought the VA for 28 years and has finally won this life long battle. Just another example of what a red tape beuracratic system can do to a Veteran and their family. This story is absolutely incredible.
