The weighing didn't go great, but I probably got a good enough number for him as he struggled to jump out of the crate two or three times.

He seems to weigh about one ounce more than when I first got him to my home during his neutering recovery. He lost about six ounces in the week or so after that when I tried to feed him what a "normal" cat his weight should be eating. However, that made him angry and caused him to lose weight, so I increased his food back up to about 2x what a cat his size should eat. This was the first indication that his huge (4x normal) water intake problem might not just be kidney disease but maybe diabetes instead, as the latter comes with a bigger appetite.

I'll try to weigh him at least weekly until I drive my stuff half-cross country and return after a week to stay around for another month or so to tie up loose ends before I have to say goodbye to this dearest boy, likely forever.
