'We can try to stop the hell on earth': ICC prosecutor Karim Khan

“Is it going to be never again? Is it going to be time and time again?”

At the 2024 Nuremberg Forum, ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan delivered a speech urging the global community to “prioritise humanity over power”.

"Law is for people, not power. Law is for children, not interests," Khan declared.

He drew parallels between the suffering of Gaza's children and Jewish families affected post 7 October, questioning whether international law truly protects the vulnerable or serves strategic interests.
