Please keep in mind that pastors may preach a comforting message of love, grace, and God's forgiveness but downplay the importance of confession, repentance, and turning away from sin and idolatry in order to live a holy life. Be aware of those who are building their own houses, salaries, and staff rather than giving generously to the poor and telling others to do likewise. Many churches are operating for money, title, and status to build what the world deems successful. If there is a lack of Holy Spirit conviction you may be sitting in a house of ease and comfort.
