Professor Richard Werner holds a First Class Honours BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford. He is the Founding Chair of Local First CIC establishing community banks, author of #1 Japanese best-seller 'Princes of the Yen', former Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Asset Management, former Chief Economist at Jardine Fleming Asia, and in 1995 proposed a new monetary policy named 'Quantitative Easing'.
