Firemen Save Home From Burning Down, LIVINGSTON, October 14, 2024 - At approximately 10:15 pm on October 14, 2024, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 1404 South Washington Street in Livingston in reference to a house fire. Firemen arrived to find the back deck in flames, and the attic appeared to be on fire. The firemen were able to put out both fires and saved the home from total destruction. The home is owned by Ramona Rains of Livingston. Rains lived in the home with her kids and her brother. Officer Montana Tenney with Livingston Police Department was dispatched to initiate an investigation. Officer Tenney was assisted by Officer Shawn Wood and Sergeant Justin Murdock (also with LPD), and Livingston Fire Marshall, Josh Moehler. Rains stated to PolkCountyToday.com that her homeowner's insurance had recently expired. There were no reported injuries in this incident.
