20. Jesus Calms the Storm (Mark 4:35-41)

One of the most beloved of the stories of Jesus, his display of power over the threatening storm has been a source of comfort to Christian people facing their own 'storms' ever since the earliest days of the Christian movement. In this retelling of the episode, the alien and terrifying power of Jesus receives special emphasis, because ironically, it is only when there is proper of fear of Christ, that proper faith in Christ becomes possible.
