Before Sept 11th, 2001, it was a common sight in the United States of America to witness families eagerly waiting at airport gates for their loved ones to arrive. Grandparents reuniting with their grandchildren, boyfriends, and girlfriends embracing after a long time apart, and moms and dads returning from business trips or returning home for holidays with open arms were all too familiar. For those who had loved ones serving in the military, the joy of seeing them return home safely was indescribable. However, the emotions we feel during these reunions cannot compare to God's joy when his faithful children are reunited with him during the resurrection. The relief, happiness, and elation we experience upon seeing our loved ones again pale compared to God's overwhelming love for us to be reunited with him and all the others who choose the free gift of salvation.
