But as time went by, he was frustrated by the prohibition of any conversation about any of it to anyone at any time… above top secret they call it, but Kubrick began to regret his complicity, realizing that he had been manipulated (although to be fair, Kubrick received millions of dollars and the agreement that no studio would interfere with any future picture by Kubrick- he was God on the set, and enjoyed most having Final Cut of the edit

But again the pull of his conscience, the weight of the guilt, he knew he had to do something that would avoid any charge of treason

So in 1999 he had an interview with an independent filmmaker …. and here is the result!
